koru games

for the past few days I have been doing koru games from the 17 of September to the 19 of September. I was playing netball at koru games I had such a good time there we had heaps of wins and a couple of lots but that okay. As long as my netball team was having a good time then so did I we came 6 out of the whole koru games which i think was very good for us but i'm very sad that its my last year to do koru games. But i'm sure ill have heaps more times to do netball next year at Avonside girls high school.   

New Brighton facts

 In math I have been learning algebra and found out the steps of how to know about it I think thats' its great that I have been learning this .Because when I go to high school this will be very easy to understand because I already know some  algebra .

In literacy i have been making a algorithm for a step to step paper dart in this you will find out out to make a paper dart with easy step to step steps for make one. 

Paper dart	You will need paper and scissors	Step :1  Get a quarter of your paper	Step 2 fold corner to th edge
Step 3  Fold left to right  Step 7 turn tail in	Step 4 Fold the left side in half  Step 8 fold in half	Step 5  Fold the dart to the right Now you are finish	Step 6 Fold left side in half

Science

On Monday 22nd of July we started to learn about science. For a science fair that we are doing in week 9.  Mr Redmond told us to start searching on what we should do so me and Nabraska thought we could do bouncy balls. But its not all about doing some fun thing to make explosions and all that are main theme.This is to learn about what where making in this and what is mixed to make this to cores this to make a chain and a reaction.

Math

For the last week i have been in a Nogos group for math .We have been learning about 3d shapes, how to make them and what measurements you need to make it. He has also been teaching us bout the nets and about the faces edges and vertexes.















Nogo has also been teaching us about what type of shapes there are such as cylinders,cone,pyramid and more.

Pizza fundraiser also howmuch im gonna miss rawhiti

fundraiser 

For the last couple of weeks. Me and Ryley D have been working on a pizza fundraiser for the year 8 day out. I have really enjoyed it because i got new skills communicating with people learning to do budgeting. Also if you didn't know what the year 8 day out was its a big day at the end of the year to celebrate with the years 8 that are leaving the school to go of to high school.To spend time and to have a few more good memories with the school. Im gonna miss Rawhiti school so much including making Mr Redmond coffees and taking me out to sport Nogo laughing with me and Sharon always making me feel better if im sad and whaea jass also laughing with me and much much more.Its great at Rawhtit school and i wouldn't change it for the world.    

Careers day

On Wednesday the 19th of July we had a careers day we did a survey on line and gave us choices on what we could be there was 78 choices to pick from. I had from four options - a photographer, a babysitter, a probation officer, and a mechanic. I thought to myself...what would I be good at? So i searched what they were all about, and i decided to pick probation officer. From that day on, we had 8 weeks to research and put together a presentation of our chosen career.

I created a poster about a probation officer. I researched things like what they do and what qualifications they need, how much money they earn and so on.

On the Wednesday I was very nerves because I thought that I haven't done enough. Kids came by and asked me questions about what a probation officer was . I was very proud of myself thinking I just did this and now kids can know what a probation officer is and what they do.And if they wanted to be one when they were older then they would know whats its like and what hey do.     
 

What my life is like in Tagaroa

Since term 2 that I moved into this classroom I have learnt complete different things compared to Ata Hapara. At the moment I am in Nogos reading group and Sharon math group.In Nogos reading group i just had a reading test Nogo said Im getting better than last time. Im very proud of myself for what he said to me. He also said that I had gone from 40% to 80% .Im also doing my career's poster about being a probation officer and also whats its like to be a probation officer .I am really in joying it at the moment because i have found at heaps of things from it that i didn't even know about.   

Using algorithm in our writing.

How to make fluffy glitter slime	Step 1. You will need to get any size glue borax another small bowl glitter and shaving cream	Step 2. Get your borax put 2 teaspoons into a bowl with hot water.wait for it to dissolve.
Step 3 Put as much glue as you want into a bowl. put glitter and shaving cream into the bowl also.	Step 4 Mix together and start adding in the borax.	Step 5 Once all the borax Is in the slime mix for 3 minutes.
Step 6 Once it’s all mixed in you need.To nead it until it’s not sticky anymore.	Step 7 You are finished you have just make fluffy glitter slime.	This is what your finished project will look like.

The career survey showed that I had been able to go for 30 jobs. I narrowed it down to 6 that I am really interested in.
Case Manager, Probation Officer, Photographer, Baby Sitter, Automative Restorer, Event Manager.

The order of choice would be:-
1. Photographer
2.Baby Sitter
3.Probation Officer
4.Automative Restorer
5.Event Manager

Jobs yet to be invented.

I think I might go to university for this, or not.
